Frank de Boer collects the ball on his own 6 yard box after an Argentina attack is thwarted. De Boer dribbles the ball towards the half way line before delivering a pin point 40 yard pass to Dennis Bergkamp. Bergkamp, the master of composure calmly controls the ball with the instep of his right foot before flicking the ball past Roberto Ayala and, showing perfection in composure he strikes the ball past the helpless Carlos Roa.

This goal put Holland into the Semi Finals of the World Cup for the first time in twenty years where they were knocked out by eventual runners-up Brazil.
